Today we had to decide what we really want to create for our installation. We think the best approach would be to have a Unity walkthrough that shows what each room will contain. We plan on using SketchUp to model each room and then import the sketches to Unity. We have been working on a basic floor plan using Miro. We determined the general layout of where the lobby areas would be and the process a participant would go through to move between rooms. Essentially, they would start in the entrance part of the lobby and loop through a circular path to return to the exit area.
On Wednesday's class, we discussed and drew out a floor plan for our installation, and we decided on different ways of displaying it. We were able to Miro to complete a birds eye view of the lobby and each room. We also decided to use SketchUp for a rough draft of the rooms, but we would use Unity for the final versions of the room. For next time, we have to include doors and which way they swing, as well as some of the hardware (speakers, lighting, etc.)
Discussed on how to show case our installation. We decided to start off with a floor plan. Both Unity and SketchUp were suggestions mentioned to showcase the installation. But before that, we landed on a floor plan first. We also discussed equipment and placement, as well as flow of the rooms.

Someone brought up drafting a floor plan as a good first step, so that's where we started. It was cool to think about the scale of the rooms in relation to each other, along with what shape/layout would best serve each room's art piece(s).
